Hand-Painting Drums??

hey, has any1 ever painted a hand drum, or drum set? my drum sets are far too nice now to be painted but hoping one day to paint some that would be cool!

but i did have a rather boring black hand drum, good painting surface so i went to the hardware shop and bought some dulux matt paint (wall paint) in red and yellow and small pot of black and small gold and thought now what am i goin to do with these...

i also used to paint my drumsticks.. lately i havent been bothered. once with glow in the dark paint witch looked pretty fetching!

oh and did u notice a theme going on between my kit bass drum and the bottom of the hand drum lol

I've built 2 drumsets and 2 snares, doing the dye/stain job myself with clear coats. Drilling the drums for lugs and doing bearing edges is cake compaired to paint jobs. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

lol yeah it would be cool to see some pics!! ive seen pictures of bass drum heads that have been painted b4 but never hand painted drums, (by ameteur artists!)
